• Laura Molzahn's genealogy web site details some of the descendants of a James McColm, born 1852 in Galloway, Scotland. Some of his children came to British Columbia, Canada (one of whom moved to Washington, U.S.A.).

• The Northumberland County GenWeb web site shows a Henry McColm and a Thomas McColm being settled on lots on the north bank of the Miramichi river in New Brunswick, Canada. The web site notes that Henry and Thomas are believed to be sons of James McCollum/McCullum. Another page on the web site showing land grant information lists James McCullum arriving in June 1785. The same web page also lists a James McComb arriving in December 1784.
  
  
• The Manitoulin Genealogy web site lists Sarah Ann McColm and William Young Smith as the parents of Bertha Smith born in 1893 in Gore Bay, Canada.
